Bridal Hair and Makeup Trials Melbourne, Perth and Brisbane
There are always a lot of questions in relation to bridal hair and makeup trials in Melbourne, Perth and Brisbane. We have put together some information to help answer any questions you may have about this process
*There are no limits on trial numbers. Each additional person is $80 for hair and $80 for makeup.
Please note: We do not offer trials on Saturday or Sunday mornings - these times are reserved for wedding bookings.
A trial is the opportunity for you to see your artists work before your wedding / event day in Melbourne. It is also the opportunity to try out any ideas you may have for hair and makeup. For this reason it is a good idea to devote some time to having a think about what you would like to try. Gathering pictures from magazines or other sources is also helpful to your artist. It doesn’t matter if you are unsure as to exactly what you want, just a small amount of direction is enough to help steer your artist in the right direction.
You are more than welcome to bring other people with you for the trial in Melbourne. If the opinion of your best friend / sister / mother is important please have them with you at the trial. It is too late to change the hair and makeup or try a different look once you get home.
Many people want to coordinate their trial for the same time as another special occasion they may have coming up. We will try and accommodate your preference for a trial time, however it is not something that we can guarantee. During the colder months we are a little more flexible, however due to the fact that we are booked out during the warmer months, it can be a little harder to arrange. Your patience and understanding regarding our busy schedules would be much appreciated.
We are happy to do a weekend bridal hair and makeup trial in Melbourne. Again, availability is dependent on our other bookings, afternoons are usually the best time.
Trials usually take around 1 hour. If you are having a hair and makeup trial together (performed by the one person), you may need up to 2 hours.
Trials are either done at your location or at the artist’s personal studio. This is something that can be discussed with your artist.
Trials can be done up to a year before your wedding / event. We do not take bookings anymore than a year in advance.
Your artist will hold your event date until the trial is done. This means your trial will need to be booked in within 4 weeks of your artist contacting you. Once you have done your trial and wish to progress with the booking a $100 deposit is required to secure the date.
All deposits are payable directly to Living Dolls and will need to be paid within 7 days of your trial. They are not refundable if cancelations are made less than 4 months from the wedding / event date.
If you didn’t want to do your trial until months down the track (closer to your wedding / event date) but wanted to secure your booking, your artist will need the $100 deposit up front. This will lock in your wedding / event date, meaning that you can then do your trial at any stage.
